Warmest Greetings from Uganda and more especially greetings from Mpigi mountains (District) with Love and Joy. Children of Grace is humbled and privileged to have partners like you. For each and everyone who has done their best to see that we stand, it is neither by might nor by power but by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We want to thank God for your love for the less fortunate. We all believe that each of us has a purpose to live for; God assigns different people to help us fulfill what is in us, we sometimes take note of them when it’s past time, but never fail to identify those people who have mattered in our lives.
We take this opportunity to raise you more and more in our prayers, that everything that you have done, will never go in vain. Doing your part has created a light at the end of the tunnel for our lives.
Children of Grace kids are doing well, after having a wonderful Christmas, our next focus was back to school. We did not have any of our kids demoted. All were promoted. Some are just a class from Secondary and some are two classes away. Some want to Join Vocational schools because of the delay in studies The stigma of studying with younger kids makes them uncomfortable in class.
We have already started on our farm; it is promising, and we wish to thank whoever contributed, we hope that next year we can fly on our own wings, and we hope that we can do much more with it than we can today.
We are working and planning towards self sustenance; in this we need much of your prayers, advice, help and expertise where applicable. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, but we believe that some of the strength should come from you as you have already done through the support.
We have found difficulties in our fellowship, more especially in Mpigi where Moslems dominate and then Catholics and Anglicans. It has been hard to find a trustworthy church. Recently we have been doing our own fellowships, we had three friends joining us, and now we have a few willing to join us, we need your prayers so that the Lord can guide us through, because I can see us in the future having a big fellowship We don’t want to say that we have begun a church but I can see it coming. Pray hard for us, maybe our call is diverse.
We are facing another challenge. We spent two weeks without water. Because of the rural neighborhood, the maintenance of a fault takes long, and this came also in my mind, that we need to do water harvesting, not only to be safe when water is gone, but also it would cut short our water bills thus saving some shillings. So we hope and think that we need to construct an underground tank that can be supplied by the rain. If kept and maintained well, it could see us through for a while. It’s an idea under construction so changes and advice are welcome.
I just wanted to make a brief report about our current status. We are healthy and the Lord is faithful.
Blessings.
