TCWM Defeats Pandemic and Opens Trinity Biblical Institute
The beginning of the year is an exciting time. We are so happy that the classes of Trinity Biblical Institute have started back up again, and we are excited to see all that the Lord will do in the upcoming weeks and months.
In January and February, we opened our accredited program in Uganda, and we held conferences in Kenya and in Northern and Eastern Uganda. This week our team teaches in Western Uganda.
Pastors and future missionaries are being trained. People in Africa are going back to their churches. We praise God for the growth of His kingdom.
Pastor Doug McNutt, TCWM’s Deputy Director, is currently leading the team in Western Uganda. He has spent the last few weeks visiting our schools and churches in Africa, where he has had the opportunity to speak to our students, encourage our faculty, and share the Gospel. He writes,
“Under the eastern shadow of the Rwenzori mountains lies the district of Kasese, in an area of Uganda alternately called either “The Mother of the Pearl of Africa” or “The Pearl of the pearl of Africa” (Uganda as a country is called the “Pearl of Africa”). The area is known for its varied terrain and abundant wildlife. Lake Bunyonyi, to the south, has spots that are 3,000 feet deep. People hike the Virunga Conservation Area nearby to see some of the rare mountain gorillas or venture into nearby Queen Elizabeth National Park to see elephants and lions.
Standing at the top of the rugged and green Rwenzori mountains is Mount Stanley (named after journalist and African explorer Sir Henry Morton Stanley) with its majestic peak at 16,763ft above sea level and a glacier at its peak.
The local people are used to visitors and are very friendly. The people are hungry for the word of God and hungry for Biblical Training. Pastors and church leaders consider it the opportunity of a lifetime to attend Bible College and be formally trained for the ministry.
That is just the opportunity that we hope to give them through Trinity Biblical Institute. We have begun classes here after finishing well in Gulu in the north of Uganda, and Kapchorwa in Eastern Uganda as well as Endebess, Kenya.
Thank you for your prayers which fuel the mission! Thank you for your support which makes this possible! May God Bless you abundantly and our prayers are with each one of you as well today, coming from the continent of Africa. May the Lord Bless you and Keep You!”
Please pray for the safety of Doug and our team of teachers and students. Also please pray that their work would be used by the Lord to grow our students in their faith and bear much fruit.
Training church leaders for a great harvest,
Peter W. Anderson
